Information for Practitioners: Courses available
Elklan have a range of courses to suit you whether you are an early years worker, teacher or assistant working with children with Speech, Language and Communication Need (SLCN). You can study any of the core courses and then go on to complete one of the specialist courses, or study one of the Let's Talk series of courses.
Core Courses
- Speech and Language Support with under 5's
Speech and Language Support in the Classroom
Speech and Language Support for 11-16's
Speech and Language Support for Post 16's
Speech and Language Support for Verbal Children with ASD
Speech and Language Support for Vulnerable Young People (those in youth offending institutions or pupil referral units etc)
- Communication support for children with severe and complex needs (runs for 7 sessions)

Let's Talk with Special Children (for children with severe and complex learning needs)
Let's Talk Together (for children with social communication needs including ASD)
The courses are accredited through Open College Network South West Region (GB) or Open College Network Northern Ireland (Ireland). You can study at either level 2 or 3; you will receive 6 credits at whichever level you decide to study.
