About Elklan

Who are we?
Elklan was established in 1999 by two speech and language therapists Liz Elks & Henrietta McLachlan. Over a period of nearly ten years, Elklan has devised and delivered training packages to help others to promote and support the communication skills of all children especially those with speech, language and communication needs. Elklan courses aim to support early years practitioners, teachers, teaching assistants, parents and others who work and live with children.

How does Elklan work?
Elklan works by training Speech and Language Therapists and Specialist Teachers in the local area to deliver any one of the range of courses we have written. Elklan works best when therapists and teachers work together although quite often therapists will train on their own. In exceptional circumstances Specialist Teachers are allowed to deliver the training on their own, for more details contact Elklan.
