On-going support
![]()
Once you become an Elklan tutor you enter into a large network of others who are all seeking to fulfil the same aims as you in meeting the needs of children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). You will receive ongoing support and advice from Liz and Henrietta and you will be invited to attend annual meetings held in Salford, London and Northern Ireland which are offered free of charge.
Training with others![]()
Elkan supports collaborative practise and is keen to promote SLT’s and specialist teachers training together. However we are aware that this is not always possible and so many SLT’s train on their own. We are currently piloting an initiative to enable specialist teachers who meet certain criteria to train in isolation. Click on the link for more information
