Elklan Two-Day Overview

What is the Two-day Overview?
Elklan prefers that Tutors run the full accredited programmes as we believe this allows learners to embed their learning and their practice changes as a result. However we are aware that for some this is not practicable and so we have written a two-day overview of the core courses ‘Speech and Language Support in the Classroom’ and ‘Speech and Language Support for Under 5’s.’

Who would you recommend completes this course?
This course is designed for teachers and SENCO’s who wish to receive the information taught in the full programme.

All participants will need a copy of the relevant Language Builders books which contains all the course material and handouts.

How does it differ from the full programme?

• It is not accredited
• It covers similar material but at a faster pace and in not as much depth
• There is no written work to complete

Who can teach it?
Elklan tutors and co-tutors can deliver this training together or an Elklan tutor can deliver it on his/her own. Attendance at any of the courses training you to become a tutor or a co-tutor will allow you to teach the two-day overview as well as the full programme.
