Elkan training in Cornwall

Half–day training sessions:

Cultivating Cultural Capital- Creating Language Rich Environments

Aimed at teachers, teaching assistants and early years practitioners. These ‘taster’ sessions will show the benefits of Elklan accredited training for your school or setting and how it can support ALL children’s communication.

Learn about language enriched environments and how this will cultivate the cultural capital for children in your setting. Participants will receive a free digital copy of the Language Builders book with information and strategies to support children's speech and language skills when they attend the session.

We recommend that the session is attended by one teacher/SENCO, with a maximum of two TAs or by early years practitioners who are interested in doing further training. Other practitioners or related professionals are also welcome to attend.

Elklan, established in Cornwall in 1999 by Speech and Language Therapists Liz Elks & Henrietta McLachlan, to train education staff to support children with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) in schools.

With over 50,000 staff now Elklan trained, join our accredited training programme and make a real difference!
