Elklan Specialist Training Package - Supporting Children and Adults using AAC
This Specialist Training Package (STP) has been written so that Speech and Language Therapists (SaLTs) and teaching advisors can teach it in their locality under license.
This STP equips tutors to provide practical, accredited training to those supporting ALL users of AAC. Cascade the training to colleagues, assistants and education staff. SaLTs who are not existing Elklan tutors can attend but will be licenced to train others on the Supporting Children and Adults Using AAC course only.
How can I become a licensed Elklan AAC Tutor?
When you attend this Elklan STP you will be given everything you need to teach Supporting Children and Adults Using AAC.
This Specialist Training Package will cover all the content of the course, and you will receive information on:
- How Elklan works
- How to deliver a course that is externally quality assured and accredited by an OfQual regulated national Awarding Orgnisation
- How to assess learners' work
What do trainees say about this STP?
As an Elklan AAC tutor, you enter into a large network of others who are all seeking to fulfil the same aims as you in meeting the needs of children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). You will receive ongoing support and advice from Elklan who will answer your queries about delivering courses.
