Courses for Practitioners: Communication Support for 0-25s with Complex Needs
A practical training course for staff working with children in special school provision with severe and complex learning needs. It will equip them with innovative tools and methods to develop and encourage pupil’s interaction and communication. It is designed for practitioners working with children at the pre-intentional and intentional stages of communication who are beginning to develop the skills required for purposeful communication. This course is taught by local tutors throughout the UK.
What will participants receive?
A Level 3 or Level 2 Award in Knowledge and Practice to Support the Communication Skills of those with Severe and Complex Needs – A portfolio of evidence will need to be completed.

How is it delivered?
Designed to be delivered over eight weekly sessions, it may also be taught as an intensive three day programme. Each session lasts two hours. The course uses interactive teaching methods, practical activities, videos and group discussion to engage learners.
