Workshops for those who have already completed Makaton Training and would like to develop knowledge of signs and symbols for use at home, in the community or at work.
The Makaton Level 2 workshop builds on the skills and information you learned on the Level 1 training.
The workshop is suited to those who are interested in the Makaton Language programme and who would like to extend their knowledge and use of signs and symbols learnt on the Level 1 workshop.
You'll be taught over two four-hour sessions, via online webinar.
The sessions will cover a range of areas and activities including:
| Signs and symbols from stages 3 and 4 of the Core Vocabulary and the rest of the additional vocabulary |
| Techniques for placement, directionality, and movement |
| The history and research to support the use of signs and symbols within Makaton language programme |
| Approaches to develop communication skills of a wide range of Makaton users and how to apply Makaton in your own setting |
You'll receive:
A Level 2 participant manual with signs and symbols covered during the workshop
A certificate of attendance

You must have already attended a Level 1 workshop by the time of the Level 2 training.
